I have had a lifelong interest in art but as a Medical Practitioner and a working mother, I did not pursue this interest until my retirement in 2004.
Since then I have obtained a Diploma of Fine Art at Northern Beaches TAFE, a Diploma of Visual Art at Northbridge School of Visual Arts and done many courses embracing all media.
I have been privileged to be nurtured and stimulated by my life on Pittwater for past 40 years. Its incredible natural beauty ever changing with the tides, weather and seasons both informs and inspires my artistic practice. The colours and play of light are a daily source of wonder.
My passion is painting in oils. I seek to impart a myriad of colour and dynamism in to my work which is seen particularly in my pointillism landscapes.
I aim to celebrate the magnificence and complexity of flowers by painting them larger than life!
In my abstract work, I frequently use inks, water-colour and charcoal as well as oil which is usually multilayered. My abstract work often takes me on a journey of discovery.
