Kirsty Griffiths has been doing art all her life, and is inspired by her surroundings both the built and natural environments. She paints landscapes, still life and seascapes. She works in Oils, photography, watercolours, coloured pencils, pastels, scraperboard and pen and ink and other mixed media.
She has recently dabbled in abstraction with her ‘Houses Panoramas’ pictures and tulips abstracts. Kirsty’s discarded bottle series developed from an idea of a ‘throwaway’ society where bottles are flung on the side of the road.
She intends on having her own exhibition soon and continuing to enter and exhibit in art awards and commissions.
Impressionism, Surrealism, realism and Abstract Expressionism.
Kirsty has a Bachelor degree in Contemporary Arts (2010) at Edith Cowan University.
She has also business administration skills, and studied Graphic design at TAFE in 1992-1994 (incomplete).
